Severe weather is expected this afternoon and this evening, with the greatest risk between 4pm through 10pm. Either a slight or enhanced risk of severe weather is forecast for the entire area. All modes of severe weather are possible: isolated tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds. The greatest threats are from damaging winds and large hail, with communities in southeast Nebraska highlighted for a 10% risk of hail greater than 2 inches in diameter and damaging winds of 74 mph or greater for southeast Nebraska. Heavy rainfall also is possible for some areas, with a slight risk of excessive rainfall that could lead to flash flooding. Be weather aware. Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings.
